Delteil 36, only state. Shapiro 55, an undescribed state between Shapiro’s first and second, printed with rich plate tone on a heavy card-like paper. In pristine condition. We know of no other impression on the market in recent years. One of 6 known impressions. Provenance: Maurice Fenaille, Paris (this impression cited by Delteil). Fenaille was a personal friend of the artist, as well as one of the great collectors of the period. With the red Degas atelier stamp, Lugt 657, at the lower right corner. 180 x 117 mm • 7 1/16 x 4 5/8 inches
