Chiaroscuro woodcut printed from two blocks in tones of olive and black. Bartsch XII,56.11. Nagler 70. Provenance: A. D. Crakau (died c. 1888), Lugt 89 and Paul Davidsohn (born 1839), Lugt 654. A very fine impression with extremely deep gauffrage which intensifies the effectiveness of the design; old glue stains verso, hardly visible recto. 264 x 208 mm • 10 3/8 x 8 3/16 inches
